XBox 360 Premium Pro Bundles
XBox 360
bundles which offered a Premium Pro console were guaranteed to be a top
of the line system from 2005 to 2008. Premium Pro consoles feature a
lightning fast Xenon motherboard and a decent 20 to 60 gigabyte hard
drive, depending on when the system was built. The earliest systems came
with a 20 gigabyte hard drive, while the later ones featured the 60
gigabyte drives. The Premium Pro gaming consoles were eventually
replaced by the Elite consoles which came out starting in 2007, and the
Premium Pro consoles were discontinued in 2008. The Premium Pro consoles
are still quite comparable to modern XBox 360 consoles however. While
the modern hard drive space is maximized at 250 gigabytes, lower end
systems feature as little as 4 gigabytes in their hard drives, and so a
Premium Pro system may still be a good buy for the price charged. For
many users, a Premium Pro system is still a very usable system in spite
of not being equipped with the latest features such as HDMI capabilities
and a native Kinect port. For users who don't put much importance in
upgrading to the latest technology, yet want a powerful machine with
decent specs, the XBox 360 Premium Pro console is a very appealing
choice.
