The XBox 360
has been a very popular and lucrative console gaming system for
Microsoft over the past several years. It was the revolutionary first
"next generation" console system placed on the market, and ever since it
has been the standard that other gaming companies have put an effort
into matching and competing with. While Microsoft hasn't just been
resting on it's laurels, there's far too much competition and innovation
going on for that to happen, the older model XBox gaming consoles are
still quite heavily used and are perfectly valid gaming options for
those who don't absolutely require the latest technology. Different XBox
360 console models have different amount of space on their hard drives,
and different ports for accessing different services and peripherals.
The standard XBox 360 model comes with a 60 gigabyte hard drive,
although newer versions come with up to 250 gigabytes of hard drive
space. Some consoles come with very basic capabilities such as the XBox
360 Arcade, while others feature more sought after capabilities such as
the XBox 360 Elite and the new, svelte XBox 360 Slim. Know what you're
looking for and what you want your console to do for you, and you should
be able to find a system that will provide you many hours of the fun
you're looking for.
